After 63 Years, a POW Breaks His Silence.
American Army medic Anthony C. Acevedo survived Berga, a Nazi slave-labor camp where American prisoners of war were starved, brutalized, and forced to dig underground tunnels for the German war effort. After returning home, Anthony was required to sign a Security Certificate ordering him not to speak publicly about what he had witnessed and endured at Berga and during the Death March that followed.
He obeyed that order for sixty-three years.
Written and performed by Rodolfo Alvarado, Undesirable Secrets is an award-winning solo play in which one actor brings to life the soldiers, family members, officers, captors, and loved ones who shaped Anthony’s extraordinary journey. Through more than thirty characters, a nearly empty stage becomes a childhood home, battlefield, cattle car, prison camp, death march, and the interior world of a man carrying an unbearable truth alone.
More than a World War II drama, the play explores the wounds created by forced silence and the healing that may begin when painful truths are finally spoken.

A One-Woman Play About Work, Worth, and What We Owe Each Other
Dr. María Cisneros has built an extraordinary career studying labor, migration, and economic mobility. A nationally recognized economist and rising university scholar, she believes the systems she analyzes can be measured, predicted, and explained. Then she begins to see what is happening inside her own institution.
Adjunct professors teach the students others overlook, hold departments together, and carry universities forward—often without job security, benefits, offices, institutional protection, or any guarantee that they will be invited back the following semester. As María listens to their stories, the distance between her research and their reality begins to collapse.
She has modeled labor systems throughout her career. Now she must decide what to do when the system is standing directly in front of her.
M.I.G.R.A.N.T. Professor is a new one-woman play about higher education, adjunct labor, institutional power, collective action, and the dignity of work. Through lecture, memory, confrontation, humor, and personal awakening, María discovers that knowledge alone does not create change—and that nobody rises alone.
